Beanbags

I'm pooped! We've ran errands, made decisions, worked on projects, and cooked - - and while that sentence makes it sound like any other day...it's been a tiresome one today.

We finally picked up some primer to finish the garage. Gotta get that done this week! Primer and paint! And everything put away so that it looks presentable next Sunday. I guess it's a garage so how "presentable" can a garage be, but I want it to look at least finished. Like Hubs said last night - no more projects until we finish what we've started. :)

The cabinet finally is paint free. Or, it was paint free...of the old paint that is. :) I was able to finish sanding it and then put a coat of primer. It's getting there. A little more work has got to be done on it - mainly with the doors and top, but it's getting there. Can't wait to have it back in the house where it belongs and not have to cover it up anymore because of its past ugliness!

Beanbags - - Hubs finished painting his cornhole game so it was up to me to check that project off the list by finishing the beanbags. I cut them out this morning after the neighbor's dog woke me up and, since Hubs was soundly sleeping past all the noise, I figured a little cutting and sewing wouldn't affect him in the least little bit.

I got to measuring and cutting out the pieces from old jeans and had just enough of one jean color. Earlier this summer I had made a pair of old jeans into cutoffs...they were too long to wear as jeans anyway. I always had to fold them up at the bottom and inevitably I would end up walking on them, so they took the sacrifice and snip snip they went. Thus I had just enough of the jean leg to use for these beanbags. So now we can play three teams at a time!

I got all the pieces cut out and got ready to sew and realized that I didn't have enough thread to get through even a set of bags. Thus, I picked up some more thread when we were out and about running errands today.

See -
three colors = three teams! :)
I'm so good! :P

Now I need a nap. But I need to make some cards, clean the loft, and work on some paperwork. I would also paint the cabinet, but it's too windy outside and I don't want to take the chance of something blowing into the fresh paint, and I definitely don't want to paint with the garage door closed. Bummer. I guess that can wait for tomorrow.

Maybe I can get Hubs to make dinner for me tonight. Op, I think I hear him messing around in the kitchen. Maybe I don't need to make the ask at all! Sweet!
