A Mission of Unaccomplishment

So it's already noon and what have I accomplished today? Um, not much...depending who you ask. :) Lil' C has eaten (many times!), we had 3 diaper changes (one was a total blowout which required a complete outfit change and some heavy duty cleanup), made the bed, checked some emails, and luckily she decided that she needed a nap as that allowed me to get a shower and get cleaned up (this doesn't happen every day).

Today we're heading out to roam a local mall. We're meeting up with Nani (grandma) and Great Aunt B. Trying to decide which carrier to bring... probably the Moby, as that is so far Lil' C's favorite for long periods of time.

Whoops. She's awake now! Time to eat again probably. :)

Unproductive... and kinda proud of it.

My days seem to pass by without even waving goodbye. We've been trying to figure out a schedule, but it doesn't seem to be on Lil' C's agenda to stick to one quite yet. She's been a good baby over all and I can't really complain. However, the past couple nights have been rough for me. She's been waking up between 1-2, then 3-4, then at 6 and is awake till about 9... It makes for a long start to the day. Throughout the day, her schedule of sleeping/eating changes by the minute. I have to carefully decide what I'm going to try to get done that day, cus I can only sneak in a few minutes approx every hour. The poor thing just wants to be held all the time!

But I don't blame her. Who doesn't love to cuddle and be loved?!?

I love holding her and watching the faces that she makes. I love looking at her features and checking out her little ears, nose, and toes. She's just so precious and how can anyone not want to enjoy their little babe, esp when they are only young for a short time.

However, then chores like folding laundry goes from a quick jaunt to a 3-day event:

Sweet Baby is Here!

It's been a few months since I've posted. I seriously need to get better at this! But this time I really do have a pretty darn good excuse. On the morning of January 31, 2012, our sweet little baby girl came into this world and made us into a family of three. The birth went well - I'm not gonna lie, it was tough - but everyone is healthy and happy and we've had a wonderful couple of weeks getting used to everything changing as we take on the role of parents for this tiny little thing.

I can't believe how happy she has made me! This little tiny bundle of sinful flesh. I pray that we can bring her up properly and not slack in showing our devotion to God and love for Him to this little babe. My prayer is that she chooses to follow Him and grow in the knowledge of having Christ as Savior.

Thank you Lord for this gift!

Welcome December!

This is NOT my work, I just love the picture!

I love the snow! It's beautiful. It's clean. It's fresh. It's cold! And the first day of December welcomed us with lots of snow, cold... and wind.

I love waking up to fresh fallen snow and watching the pup run out and faceplant into a wind-blown pile of that gorgeous white stuff! The pup loves the snow. She could spend all day out in it. Maybe I should look at getting her some of those winter booties. Lol!

I didn't get out and take any pictures today. I was way too busy with work and only left the house for a few minutes to clear a little of the driveway. The pic above of the pup was taken back on the first snowfall in October. But I couldn't help but share, since it did in fact snow today!

Wouldn't it be wonderful for it to snow for Christmas?! I remember a few years ago that it actually did snow on Christmas morning. That was the best gift! (other than the TRUE gift of Christmas of course!) But it's been awhile since we've had snow on the ground on Christmas. Last year, it was 60 some degrees and the boys were out playing football in the street and my dad was washing his car. So weird!

But anyway, hooray for snow! I'm a bit disappointed that we haven't gotten our Christmas lights up outside yet, but the beauty of the snow during the day is making up for it. :) I hope it sticks around for awhile!

Happy December 1st!

It's on days like this that I get so frustrated that it takes me an hour to get ready for work, and my hubby is up and walking out the door, lunch and coffee in hand, within 10 minutes of crawling out of bed.

But then he goes and squeezes in time to do this:

And then I'm not sure if I'm frustrated or impressed. :P
